College of Nursing Receives Accreditation

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is approved by the Texas State Board of Nursing and is fully accredited by Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) through the year 2014.  CCNE accreditation involves a process of reflective, critical self-evaluation resulting in a self study. 

Purposes of Accreditation

Accreditation is a voluntary process to assess whether or not an institution or program meets a set of accepted standards set for by its accrediting body. The Texas A&M Health Science Center is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate, master's, doctoral and professional degrees.
