March 20, 2014 at Central Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas

Disaster Day was created by the TAMHSC-College of Nursing to offer hands on training in disaster response. The annual, student led, one-day event is carefully planned and coordinated to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond in an emergency situation through an interdisciplinary, simulated learning experience.

Students from TAMHSC-College of Nursing, the College of Medicine and Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy as well as Blinn College nursing, radiology and EMS student will participate. The Central Baptist Church in Bryan will serve as a medical needs shelter and handle crush injuries, fractures, internal bleeding, head wounds and respiratory distress.
