March 30, 2017 at Central Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas

Disaster Day was created by the Texas A&M College of Nursing to offer hands on training in disaster response. The annual, student led, one-day event is carefully planned and coordinated by nursing students to provide future health care professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond in an emergency situation through an interdisciplinary, simulated learning experience.

Students from TAMHSC-College of Nursing, the College of Medicine and Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy and College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences will participate. The Central Baptist Church in Bryan will serve as a medical needs shelter and handle crush injuries, fractures, internal bleeding, head wounds and respiratory distress.
