The Second Degree BSN track is a 15 month, accelerated program available only to applicants with a previous bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing field of study. This program option is offered on both the Bryan-College Station and Round Rock campuses.

Students are admitted only once per year in the spring term. All prerequisite coursework must be successfully completed by the first day of class. The program utilizes traditional, face-to-face instruction as well as simulation activities, clinical experiences, team teaching and video conferencing of lectures. Students on the Round Rock campus will have more lectures delivered by video conference than students on the College Station campus. Pre-licensure students (Traditional and Second Degree BSN) are admitted to a specific campus location and must attend all classes, simulation labs, and clinical experiences at that location throughout the duration of the program. Due to strict regulations from the Texas Board of Nursing which govern clinical rotations, the College of Nursing (with rare exception) does not allow students to transfer from one campus to another.

Applicants may apply to only one BSN track per application cycle. Carefully review all application requirements and instructions, including the prerequisites, listed below under How to apply.
