Traditional BSN in Round Rock beginning Fall 2017
The College of Nursing is now admitting students to the Round Rock campus for the Traditional BSN program to begin Fall 2017 term. Applicants applying to the Round Rock campus will only be considered for admission to that campus and term of entry. Applicants applying to the Bryan/College Station campus will submit one application for either summer or fall entry but will indicate in their NursingCAS application whether they would like to be considered for the other term of entry on the B/CS campus only.
Applicants should submit only one application to the College of Nursing in NursingCAS per admission cycle (fall and summer counts as the same admission cycle); DO NOT submit multiple applications during the same admission cycle.
Students choosing the Traditional BSN track complete 120 semester credit hours of general education and professional nursing course work. The first two years of the curriculum include prerequisite courses in the humanities and biological, physical and behavioral sciences to provide a foundation for growth in the nursing major. The prerequisite courses may be completed at any accredited college or university. Students will then apply for upper-level entry into the Traditional BSN program to complete the 3rd and 4th years in clinical and non-clinical nursing courses.
An internal applicant is a current Texas A&M University undergraduate student in a non-nursing major on either the College Station or Galveston campus. They must meet specific requirements to apply to the upper division sequence and should apply following the internal transfer process which includes completing a NursingCAS Application. Current students who will be earning a bachelor's degree prior to the start date should follow the external transfer application instructions.
External applicants are those attending other colleges and universities. Students on the Blinn TEAM and those participating in the PSA program will follow the external transfer process, deadlines, and complete an Apply Texas application. Current Texas A&M University students who will be earning a bachelor's degree prior to the start date should also follow this process.
Applicants should submit only one NursingCAS application per admission cycle. Further details may be found under "How To Apply" link below.
